Building the Weta Collectible.

Sculpting these collectibles has always been a joy. These were slightly stylized to give them a 'cute' feel.

There was still a lot of detail that went into them.

That detail was usually very small.

There was also the consideration that these had to be able to be moulded in as few parts as possible.

This meant that a lot of foliage was sculpted in to fill gaps. All the details were fine styrene strip which was scored to look like aged timber.

The model making usually took around a week or so with the sculpting another week.
